Avon Sci Tech
Is a technician group run by Ann Sell and Joyce Dalton.
Ann and Joyce are both retired science technicians but aim to help working technicians..
Ann and Joyce are both on the ASE West of England committee, Ann is secretary and Joyce is the treasurer.
Ann and Joyce help with the local ASE November conference and run a Technician conference each inviting technicians to attend free INSET.
150 technicians attended this year’s event which ran from 9am to 3pm with talks, demonstrations in the morning and workshops in the afternoon. Suppliers set up displays.
Technicians came from a wide area including Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and a few from Devon, S Wales and Oxford.
This year’s conference (19th) was on Friday 5th July 2013.

Cornwall Science Technician Network - CSTecN
Started in 2008 by Louise Hopes, head tec at Camborne Science & International Academy, with the aim to connect school science technicians. We network using Yahoo groups where we share good practice. We usually try to meet up twice a year at different schools to give everyone a chance to attend.
